Brandie brings enthusiasm and optimism to her treatment with clients.

I became a social worker to help others. My main goal in therapy is to help clients achieve their goals and assist them in becoming more resourceful. My approach to therapy is focused on helping individuals and families identify and utilize their personal and collective strengths. I strive to build collaborative relationships in a safe and supportive environment, so that we can work together to develop insights and solutions to the problems that arise.

My goal is to help clients develop and utilize problem-solving techniques and positive coping skills, while fostering a positive sense of self. I do so by honoring each individual voice throughout the therapeutic process. While I develop a unique treatment approach for each client, I draw upon several therapeutic models and techniques which include: Family Systems Theory, Person-In-Environment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy.

Life is complex and extremely challenging at times, but if you are willing, we can find the strength to help you move forward in a positive and meaningful way.

Brandie strongly believes that group guided intervention can be the most powerful method to reach children and adolescents. She feels that it helps them realize they are not alone and allows them to provide and receive support from same-aged peers who have similar issues and concerns. Brandie has extensive experience in providing group counseling for kids and teens to address the following issues: anger management, anxiety/school refusal, self-esteem/positive thinking, stress management/relaxation, and social skill development.
